Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026 · Second Opinion Design Co. · secondopiniondesign.com

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before purchasing. By completing a purchase and submitting your intake form you agree to be bound by these terms in full.

01 — About Our Services

Second Opinion Design Co. provides remote residential interior design review, space planning, drawings, elevations, and 3D renderings. Our services are conceptual and advisory in nature and do not constitute architectural or engineering services.

02 — Scope of Services

Each package includes specific deliverables as described on our Packages page. Package scope is fixed at purchase and includes two rounds of revisions unless otherwise stated. The Major Remodel includes three rounds.

03 — What Our Drawings Are — And Are Not

Our drawings are professional conceptual design documents. They are NOT permit-ready construction documents, stamped or sealed by a licensed architect or engineer, structural assessments, or code compliance certifications. It is the client's sole responsibility to verify all permit requirements with their local building department and licensed contractor before construction.

04 — Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate measurements and project information, verify all dimensions before construction, obtain all required permits, and engage licensed contractors for all construction work.

05 — Limitation of Liability

Second Opinion Design Co. is not responsible for permit denials, contractor workmanship, cost overruns, or any outcomes related to construction. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the package in question.

06 — Payment and Refund Policy

Full refund available within 48 hours of purchase if intake form has not been submitted. No refunds once work has commenced. Package upgrades are available before first delivery — original payment credited toward new package.

07 — Intellectual Property

Upon full payment you receive a non-exclusive license to use deliverables for your personal residential project. Deliverables may not be resold or used commercially without written consent.

08 — Privacy

We collect only information necessary to deliver your project. We do not sell personal information. Project photos may be used in our portfolio unless you opt out at intake.

09 — Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of King County, Washington.
